Napoleon Bonaparte: Hero or Villain? By J.Z.

Napoleon Bonaparte (born Napoleone di Buonaparte) was a Corsican who would slowly rise to power to eventually become the Emperor of France and the King of Italy. He wasn’t really a villan but he wasn’t a great hero either.  It would be fair to say that he was a forceful leader, liked quite well by his subjects at times but equally hated at the times when he was the being greedy and power-hungry.

He was a hero, not only to France, but to the whole world for bringing many revolutionary ideas which still affect us today. He was also a villain however as he would do anything to win a battle. This would mean that he would send as many soldiers to their deaths as long as victory was achieved.

He died as a villain but during the early parts of his life and looking back at his life, it would be fair to say that he was a hero.
