Napoleon Bonaparte: Hero or Villain? By J.K

Napoleon Bonaparte was the emperor of France and also the king of Italy. In his way of ruling with an iron fist, many people have said that he is a villain, or a hero. This question of whether he is a hero or villain is a hard question as it depends on the personal view of the person on whether what Napoleon did was necessary or whether he was an extravagant man who was out for his own power and gain.

With some research my personal opinion is that he was a man who while he was indeed trying to further his own power for personal gain, he did improve France in many ways, especially the Napoleonic Code. unfortunately, he gained too many enemies and when they joined forces and attacked him, his overconfidence lead to his defeat and left the rest of France open to invasion. I believe that Napoleon Bonaparte the First was not a villain, but was not a hero, but he was  man who ruled with an iron fist.
